TDC819 STEM – Problem Solving to Design Thinking
Hosted by the Teacher Development Centre.

Design Thinking and Computational Thinking are at the heart of an effective approach to STEM in the curriculum. Participants will experience a hands-on design challenge and Adrian will model HOW teachers can facilitate these types of activities and projects with their students no matter the age.
The second part of the day will use the design thinking framework as the guide for teachers to explore embedding the Technologies Curriculum into their schools. Videos of STEM teachers from around Australia will be partnered with individual and group discussions to support participants to successfully embed Design and Computational Thinking into their school curriculum.
Adrian has a PhD in Engineering, taught Aerospace Engineering at RMIT, has worked in the NGO sector running educational programs for schools around Australia where he led transformational programs for educational companies. He has coached individuals and companies to develop clarity and capacity, as well as personally performed at high levels in sport.
AEU and IEU early bird fee is $290.00 for registration and payment before Monday 16th April 2018.
AEU and IEU regular fee is $320.00 for payments on or after Tuesday 17th April and by Monday 30th April 2018.
For those who are not members of AEU or IEU the regular fee is $390

Completing this course will contribute 7 hours of QTC Registered PD addressing the standards as listed above from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
